The Addition of LexisOne to the legal360 Product Suite Will Create the Legal Industry’s Premier Business Management Software Offering Built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Platform
LexisNexis and SAGlobal announced that they have reached agreement on the intention for SAGlobal to acquire the LexisOne® cloud-based ERP and Practice Management solution from LexisNexis®. The acquisition will become part of their Legal360 offering to create a new leader in cloud-based Practice Management and Business Development solutions for law firms.
“LexisOne is a strategic acquisition for us”, explained Stephen James Global CEO of SAGlobal. “Following our acquisition of Legal360 last year, we believe that consolidating LexisOne’s proven practice management solution with our highly successful Legal360 suite of client relationship software will have a major impact on the global legal software industry. It’s a key step in our mission to deliver a full spectrum of best-in-class cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform for the global legal industry.”
SAGlobal is a worldwide leader in Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions for professional services, with 700 employees in 19 offices around the world and nearly 30 years’ experience in ERP and Business Financial Systems, delivering successful implementations across 80 countries. Built on the award-winning Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform, LexisOne is a fully-integrated business management suite providing practice management, time and billing, accounting, and human resource management capabilities. By using a single system for everything from time recording and matter management, to HR and procurement, LexisOne helps leading law firms differentiate on service, optimise their operations, empower their employees, and gain real-time insights across their firm.
As part of the transaction, which is expected to close in Q1, the LexisOne leadership team and staff will transition to SAGlobal, along with all of the existing LexisOne customers. “We are proud of having brought the first native cloud ERP solution to the legal market with LexisOne and remain extremely positive about its future,”explained Christian Fleck, MD of the LexisNexis UK and Ireland business units. “In SAGlobal, we saw a partner who has the global scale in the Dynamics arena to rapidly grow LexisOne to achieve its full potential. We share the same philosophy of outstanding customer service and we believe this move will deliver terrific outcomes to both existing and new customers across the global legal market. We are excited about this new chapter for LexisOne, and we retain an active interest in its future success.”
Fleck commented further; “LexisNexis InterAction and Lexis Visualfiles, our market-leading CRM and Legal Workflow solutions, remain core elements of the LexisNexis portfolio, and we are investing in both these products in parallel to our legal content solutions and analytical capabilities, to deliver the next generation of tools for legal practitioners.”
SAGlobal Americas CEO, Whit McIsaac further explained: “We have 30 years’ experience working with law firms, and it’s clear that the legal market is ready for a new alternative, and especially a solution that is built on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud platform. As law firms increasingly embrace the benefits of the cloud we believe that the combination of the LexisOne and Legal360 products, along with the depth and experience of the SAGlobal and LexisOne teams, will make the Legal360 platform a disruptive new player in the legal software market.”
“I have worked closely with both LexisNexis and SAGlobal for the last 8+ years”, stated Patrick Fitzhenry, Microsoft Dynamics’ Global ISV Partner Director. “The combination of these law firm technologies, along with other Microsoft solutions such as Office365, provides the first ever end-to-end total solution for law firms based entirely on the Microsoft platform. This is truly a game-changer for the legal market.”
