Hoteliers Can Now Implement Secure Integrated EMV Payments Using Oracle Payment Interface (OPI)
Shift4 Payments, the leader in secure payment processing solutions, announced they have added support for integrated EMV payment processing with OPERA, Oracle Hospitality’s premier property management system (PMS), after completing an updated lodging certification with the Oracle Payment Interface (OPI). This represents a significant update to Shift4’s existing OPERA certification, which now allows Shift4’s tens of thousands of hotel customers to benefit from their secure EMV processing solution.
Shift4’s enterprise-grade payment gateway technology connects to all major processors and is well known in the industry as the most stable, secure and feature-rich option available to hoteliers. All of their solutions include the layered security of EMV, tokenization and PCI-validated point-to-point encryption (P2PE), which meet and often exceed PCI requirements. Additionally, hoteliers can manage their transactions with the powerful auditing, accounting and reporting tools that Shift4’s solution offers.
In 2018, Shift4 unveiled their new complete payment solution, which provides businesses with an all-in-one solution that combines full merchant services, payment security technologies, accounting portal, EMV devices and more — for the lowest total cost and from a single source.
“This is a tremendous enhancement to our highly successful existing OPERA certification and provides the ultimate EMV solution for hotels using OPERA,” said Jared Isaacman, CEO of Shift4 Payments. “Shift4 Payments is committed to creating and delivering the highest quality hospitality solutions. We’ve been able to maintain this standard in not only system stability and security, but also product features and capabilities. Hoteliers can get everything they need to process payments including the industry’s top EMV solution all from a partner they trust.”
As an Oracle Platinum Partner, Shift4 Payments adds this most recent OPERA integration to their existing support for Oracle’s Simphony, RES 3700 and e7 Point of Sale software solutions as well as MICROS hardware solutions.
