Executive Team Addition Reinforces Increased Investment in AI, Machine Learning and Analytics-Enabled Solutions to Improve Patient Access and Outcomes
Decision Resources Group (DRG), a premier provider of data, analytics and insights products and services to the healthcare industry, announced the appointment of Girish Venkatachaliah as its new Chief Product & Technology Officer. Girish will lead DRG’s continued development of AI enabled integrated solutions designed to help life sciences, payers, and providers understand and engage the healthcare consumer in ways that improve health outcomes.
Girish joins DRG following his role as the Vice President of Data Strategy, Analytics and AI/ML at athenahealth where he led the strategy, research, product management, and engineering teams and pioneered unique uses of data and AI for provider efficiency. Prior to his role at athenahealth, Girish was the Vice President of product development at IBM responsible for a portfolio of cloud offerings including, Watson Machine Learning & persistence in the Watson Data Platform. Over his 17-year career at IBM, he held a variety of executive roles in the data, analytics and AI/ML.
