With the Seed Funding Round, Ario Technologies, Inc. Will Bring Augmented Reality to the Industrial Enterprise.
Ario Technologies, Inc., creators of Ario, an augmented reality (AR) software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, announced that it raised $1 million in funding from 757 Angels, Plug and Play Ventures and Center for Innovative Technology (CIT) in Norfolk, Virginia; led by 757 Angels’ including Jerry Miller.
The investment will enable Ario Technologies, Inc. to further capitalize on its position as an emerging leader in the enterprise AR industry. Ario will help companies increase worker efficiency, reduce training time, and provide remote-expert assistance.
“The Ario platform is a natural next step in the application of technology in the manufacturing process as well as in training the next generations of workers. The company has a wide range of customers already, including Fortune 500 companies that need help to improve production efficiency and the US military that needs to train soldiers and sailors in the operation and maintenance of complex equipment. The Ario platform enables these various organizations to meet goals that were before out of reach. Most importantly the Ario Technologies, Inc. team is an impressive group that we are anxious to support going forward,” said Jerry Miller.
“We’ve had the pleasure to work with the Ario for over year since they became part of the Plug and Play ecosystem and participated in our IoT batch. We’re excited to be a part of the continued growth of the company and to welcome them as a portfolio company with our latest investment,” said Dr. Jeremy Brown, Associate with Plug and Play Ventures.
Ario Technologies, Inc. will use the investment to rapidly expand its industrial enterprise product offering and accelerate their go-to-market strategy.
“I’m incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished since our founding and we’re proud help force-multiply the industrial workforce,” said Joe Weaver, chief executive officer of Ario Technologies, Inc.
In addition to rapidly expanding their global market traction, Ario Technologies, Inc. will focus on new product innovation, which will enable the Ario platform to support a wider variety of hardware.
“We are excited to bring the Ario platform to more organizations globally as we continue to enhance our augmented reality software tools,” said Nate Fender, chief operating officer of Ario Technologies, Inc.
