The NYC Farmer’s Market is an online service specializing in local, organic foods delivered to your doorstep across all of Manhattan, along with most of Brooklyn and Queens. This is the latest in a series of relationships DBP has developed recently and underscores its flexibility to help companies even in the most competitive, fast-paced urban environments.
“We are now able to offer 200 different handmade foods and expect that number to grow to 400 by June,” said Michael Robinov, Co-Founder of Farm to People. “Without the ability to customize, forecast and manage inventory on DBP, we couldn’t do it.”
Farm to People also offers a nationwide mail delivery service through the Shopify platform. Mr. Robinov said DPB is the perfect complement to Shopify for its local New York City delivery business.
“When it comes to delivery, a t-shirt is a t-shirt; but groceries are handled very differently,” Mr. Robinov said. “We love that our customers are kept in the loop and know the minute their packages have been delivered. That kind of detail helps us build a trust that’s very difficult to earn.”
Judd Payne, Vice President at GetSwift, added “In the highly competitive NYC delivery market, Farm to People stands out as the ‘real deal’ – sourcing directly from a sustainability viewpoint and offering a true window into the local farming movement.”
Farm to People’s mission is to make it easy to discover and buy from small-batch artisanal producers. The company launched six years and several iterations ago. Farm to People strives to bring the selection of a bustling neighborhood farmers market directly to customers. Subscriptions are an option, but not required. Customers can order items such as organic coffee, raw cheeses and pastured beef a la carte in addition to hand-picked produce boxes containing the best selections of the week.
