Industrial Security Innovator Is First to Offer Industrial Cyber Security as a Service (ICSaaS) with Cirrus
Indegy, a leading provider of security solutions for industrial control system (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments, announced it has been identified as a sample vendor in the Gartner “Hype Cycle for Cloud Security, 2019” report in the Digital Security category.
.@IndegyCom named a “Sample Vendor” in #Gartner Hype Cycle for Cloud Security, 2019 report as #industrialsecurity innovator that is first to offer ICSaaS with CIRRUS
According to Gartner, Inc.:
“Digital security is a term that refers to the practice of governing, managing and operating the security systems of IoT, OT, physical and/or cyber-physical systems. Digital security creates a state of trust, protection and safety for business assets, cyber (such as software and information) and physical (such as machines, buildings, etc.). As such, it plays a critical role in creating one business focus for managing digital risks to the organization.
Security and risk management leaders should:
- Record all digital assets, from sensors to large industrial equipment, and create visibility into the organization’s digital networks.
- Leverage cloud-based security programs to supplement scale and diversity of digital security requirements.”
“We believe being named a sample vendor for Digital Security in Gartner’s Hype Cycle for Cloud Security, 2019 report is recognition for our ability to provide cloud connected visibility, security and control against threats to operational technology networks,” said Barak Perelman, CEO of Indegy. “The recent introduction of Indegy CIRRUS, our Industrial Cyber Security as a Service (ICSaaS) offering, uses the cloud to secure remote sites and organizations that lack the resources to deploy and manage on-premise devices.”
The Indegy Industrial Cybersecurity Suite provides full visibility, security and control across OT environments, enabling operations engineers and security staff to proactively respond to industrial infrastructure threats and prevent disruptions and damage. Indegy combines hybrid, policy-based monitoring, anomaly detection and signature detection with unique device integrity checks to identify security threats. This device Integrity technology, which was awarded patent #10,261,489 by the USPTO in April of 2019, extracts information and critical context to provide alerts so security personnel can understand and address the source of problems not only at the network level but deep into every device in real-time before damage occurs.
