Mosyle’s Enterprise MDM Solution, Mosyle Business, Provides Cloud-Based Apple Device Management
Mosyle, an Apple device management software company, announced it has closed a $16 million Series A funding from Elephant and Peak Ventures. The funding will fuel the company’s rapid expansion into the enterprise market as the company introduces Mosyle Business, its Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution for Apple devices.
“Apple devices have been gaining market share in enterprise environments as companies increasingly deploy iOS and macOS as their official workplace platforms as well as provide support for employees who prefer to use their own Apple devices,” said Jeremiah Daly, founder and general partner at Elephant. “We’re excited to invest in Mosyle as it continues to emerge as the leading Apple MDM vendor in education and leverages its product expertise to solve the needs of the enterprise market.”
With Mosyle Business, the company will build on the success of Mosyle Manager, the company’s K–12 solution, providing businesses of any size and market an MDM solution with the following features:
- Scalable, Over-the-Air (OTA) management for all iOS, macOS and tvOS devices
- Remote setup and zero-touch configuration
- Cloud-based inventory data
- Comprehensive monitoring, system reports and alert notifications
- Streamlined license management
- Management profiles and time-based policies
- Cost-effective subscription model
“The enterprise market has been looking for a cost-effective MDM solution, and our Series A funding will provide us with the capital to provide one, addressing a significant market opportunity,” said Alcyr Araujo, CEO of Mosyle. “Mosyle Business, with its intuitive, easy-to-use and powerful tools, will help us continue our rapid growth as a company and provide our customers with a product they love.”
Since its launch in April 2016, Mosyle Manager has experienced exponential customer-base growth. To date, Mosyle Manager has been deployed in 8,500 schools, serving over 1.5 million teachers and students in every state in the U.S. and in over 70 countries.
“Apple iOS and macOS platforms have become increasingly important to our infrastructure, and we have seen a surge in the number of Apple devices we need to maintain,” said Justin Brush from Flagler County Public Schools. “While it can be difficult to keep up with demand, the Mosyle platform allows our departments to configure, maintain and monitor all of our Apple devices using Mosyle’s tools. Their platform is easy to use and, best of all, scales effortlessly.”
